Remember 12 years ago when CBS actually blurred Adam Lambert’s gay kiss during a performance on the American Music Awards? We’ve come a long way since 2009. In short, I cannot believe this fucking aired on NBC tonight. I can’t remember ever seeing a gay man-not to mention a gay Black man who is a hip-hop star-give a live performance on network television that’s been this focused on gay sexuality, this deliberate, this explicit, and, most importantly, this proud. Tonight, he became a bonafide sex symbol as he flaunted his ripped physique while seductively groping and grinding up against a half dozen shirtless male dancers during a very gay, very explicit performance of his #1 hit single, “Montero,” on NBC’s Saturday Night Live. Lil Nas X is an extremely fine man who by every objective measure has always been hot.
